Pick Up Production is a cultural association in Nantes that defends culture as a field of expression for the greatest number of people. Through a participatory and solidarity-based approach, the association wishes to encourage meetings with the public and develop projects accessible to all.
Every year, it runs the Hip Opsession festival, organises concerts, shows and exhibitions and conducts an ambitious cultural action policy in Nantes and its suburbs. With Transfert, a transitional cultural and artistic project, it opens up to new disciplines and fields of experimentation.
TRANSFERT is a free area of art and culture open to its territory and to the public, which creates, experiments, disseminates and reveals the tangible and intangible heritage of Nantes culture for the purpose of sharing with the public and inspiring creation.
We are talking about a cultural space that is defined as much by its modes of construction and development as by its artistic productions. It is another way of thinking and doing culture in Nantes, which assumes its share of experimentation.
Pick Up Production is looking for European partners who are willing to work together on one of the following issues :
- How to restore and reconvert industrial wasteland into cultural wasteland? With Transfert, Pick Up Production opens up an atypical living space and internalises a research-action work, by setting up a multidisciplinary and undisciplined laboratory that questions the relationship between art, cultural action and the city's factories.
- How to work on the universal accessibility of Transfert? (especially for people with disabilities). How can we promote the meeting of several audiences?
We are looking for partners for actions that fall within the KA2 framework of Erasmus +, particularly on the "adult education" part for exchanges of practice or support for innovation.
