As applicant we are looking for suitable partners in the Partnership for Creativity in the field of Adult Education. Our University for Adult Education Celje has its own school of drawing and painting, through which we intend to realise our part of project idea.
In addition, the COVID-19 situation has brought many challenges and questions about how to function and live despite the limitations. This was especially felt by those who lost their jobs or activities through which they became involved in the society. Through art we want to address current distresses and empower people for the challenges of modern life (strengthen the skills and competencies, self-image, self-confidence and self- awareness of participants, develop their talents and creativity, encourage active citizenships and critical thinking, strengthen intergenerational cooperation and social inclusion an improve their employment opportunities).
The project focuses on four segments of population: the long term unemployed of different ages; young people who have dropped out of school, educators in adult education and, indirectly, artists working in the field of art.
During the project we will design and carry out creative workshops that will strengthen certain skills and competencies, encourage critical thinking and reduce individual deficits in personal and professional field. There will also be emphasis on intergenerational cooperation and finding new employment opportunities.
Our partners will carry out the activities with the help of different artistic genres and with those target groups that they themselves think would need such workshops. The gained experiences will be passed on to each other mainly virtually, but if the situation allows, transnational meetings will be organized.
