The EliCCon-Project presents: Photo Exhibition "United in Diversity" in Ostrava, Czech Republic

Photos and photo collages of the colourful world of lived traditions and cultures in Europe

This October the exhibition of the EliCCon-Project is going to take place in the historical city of Ostrava. Don’t miss the chance to meet the lived cultures and traditions from four European countries - Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and the UK - and join us to explore these cultures presented in pictures and photo collages in the famous Michal Mine, which was declared a national cultural monument in 1995 and opened to the public since 2000.  The unique Michal Mine represents the industrial heritage and coal mining in North Moravia. During the opening of the exhibition on 11th of October 2019 at 19.00 representatives of all project partners will be present and are looking forward to an interesting exchange about the lived traditions in Europe. The exhibition can be seen in the Michal Mine in Ostrava till 16th of November 2019.

The EliCCon-Project aims to explore the rich cultural diversity of Europe and raise awareness about its high value for our common life. It is co-financed by the european programme Erasmus Plus and also contributes to the European Year of Cultural Heritage (Sharing Heritag) 2018+1. Increasing the awareness of the european rich cultural heritage contributes to the development of a shared identity in Europe. The EliCCon-project enables the partners to share information about their cultures and lived cultural heritage (like values, traditions, customs and habits) by organizing meetings and exhibitions in the countries where the partners come from.

The partners of the project are: ALVIT from Ostrava (Czech Republic), Europäische Fotoakademie from Rastatt (Germany), Inercia Digital from Huelva (Spain) and Praxis Europe from Birmingham (UK). The project has started in October 2018 and until now the partners have organized two exhibitions, in Spain at the University of Huelva (May 2019) and in the United Kingdom in the South and City College Birmingham.

Opening of the exhibition on Friday, 11th of October, in the Michal Mine, Ceskoslovenské Armády 413/95, 2019 71500 Ostrava-Michálkovice, Czech Republic.

The exhibition can be seen till Saturday, 16th of November 2019.
