The aim of the Charity Impact Awards is to celebrate the positive impact community, voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises are making in people’s lives across the length and breadth of Ireland.
There are 3 sub-categories for the awards
- Large Organisations - Open to organisations with paid staff and an annual turnover over €1 million. Must be registered with the Charities Regulator.
- Medium Organisations - Open to organisations with paid staff and an annual turnover less than €1 million. Must be registered with the Charities Regulator.
- Small Organisations - Open to all independently governed and constituted community, voluntary or charitable organisations with no paid staff.
Summer is a great time to start preparing your entry (including your 2-minute video).
You can get started by downloading the mock application form here. This will help you to start planning your story. You can then copy and paste your prepared application answers into the live form when the Awards opens for applications on 2 September.
What Are Looking For.
The Charity Impact Awards want you to tell the public all about why your organisation was set up and what makes you special. They want to hear about the people you help and the change you make to your community.
You can also create an impact video to go with your application form. Videos must be no longer that 2 minutes and hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. If you need some inspiration and help on making an impact video, visit The Wheel's blog on visual storytelling here.
The 2019 Charity Impact Awards will be open for entries from 2 September - 2 October.
Five nominees will then be shortlisted in each of sub-categories. From 29 October, the public will have a chance to vote for the shortlisted nominees. At the same time, a panel of judges will evaluate the shortlisted stories.
A winner will be chosen in each sub-category based on both the judges’ evaluation and the number of votes registered.
Winners will be announced at an Awards Ceremony in Dublin on 10 December.
