The guidance of adults with a disadvantaged position towards the labour market was the main focus during the European seminar that took place in 's-Hertogenbosch. Some forty European and twenty Dutch participants who are active in this field took part. The participants exchanged ideas in order to be able to guide people in a vulnerable position to the labour market in the best possible way. They gained valuable connections and worked on concrete project plans, which will certainly be followed up!

The Estonian Euroguidance Centre has the pleasure to invite teachers and the wider European Guidance Community across Europe to a WEBINAR, where our experts – Ms. Maria Tiidus and Ms. Jelizaveta Dulberg – will introduce some new cross-media tools; showcasing the latest experiences on addressing gender equality in career guidance.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Development adopted the Rulebook on Career Guidance and Counseling Standards in June 2019. These standards present the framework for the development and improvement of the career guidance and counseling system in the Republic of Serbia. Primarily, they are guidelines for educational institutions, institutions in the employment sector as well as organizations in the field of youth work.

When refugees arrive in a country, it is important to start the process of orientation towards the labour market in the new country as early as possible. Therefore, career guidance has been piloted in Norway since 2016 for refugees in asylum reception centres. The piloting continues in 2019, extended to including career guidance for resettlement refugees (quota refugees) and persons who have arrived in Norway because of family reunification.

Although creativity and innovation are considered one of the key driving forces in modern economies, to date there have been few approaches concerning creativity and innovation management. There are also very few educational approaches applied at the interface of continuing education, institutes of higher education and business that systematically promote these skills and competencies.

350 participants working with career counseling at various levels were gathered for two days at the Scandic Airport Hotel in Gardermoen for a kick-off on the quality framework. This was a national career guidance conference for everyone in the career guidance field in Norway. The theme was: Quality in Career Guidance - from Vision to Practice.

Before being released, prisoners face the huge challenge of taking their lives into their own hands and envisaging a suitable professional career for themselves. Identifying their own strengths and competencies helps them to see the wide range of job possibilities available to them. ProfilPASS counselling does just that.

The Career and Mobility Magazine, published by the Serbian National Euroguidance Centre of the European Network to Support Guidance and Counselling is primarily intended for practitioners and professionals in this field, including career counselors in the employment service, career guidance centers at universities and schools, youth offices and other institutions, teachers, psychologists, and pedagogues, as well as policymakers at the national and local level.

Career development has become important factor in life of everyone. Employers are increasingly appreciating skills that enable effective teamwork and creative problem solving. An individual is expected to be open and focused on self-initiative training, knowledge of lifelong learning and education. Employers demand more and more skills from candidates who do not only relate to anindividual's professional competence within the chosen profession.

In March 2018, The Department of Education and Skills of Ireland commissioned a review of career guidance tools and information provision at post-primary level up to further and higher education.

The review looked at the quality of information available in relation to career guidance, the sources of this information, and how the system is organised.

On the 24th April 2019 the resulting report was launched, and can be found here.
