Travelling is one of the most rewarding experiences that anyone can encounter in this world. No matter your personality, whether an introvert or an extrovert, there is just something about travelling that turns a page in your world. The benefits of travelling, however, do not come automatically; you need to make a bit of an investment. Meeting local people can be one of the most important things you do when you land in a new country as a foreigner because it truly opens a world of possibilities to you.

A very special place, full of tradition. which welcomes everyone, teaches how to make different jobs, while allowing people to learn the most difficult task: living and wellbeing. The full name is “Società Cooperativa Sociale S.r.l. Onlus La Bottega”

“La Bottega”, in Lissone has been created to promote the employment of disabled people, young and adult, in order to contribute to their education and, above all, their social inclusion after the secondary school.

We spoke with Frédéric Peyrou, Deputy Director of the association Insert Net in Bordeaux about the European Solidérance project (an ERASMUS project), of which he is one of the initiators. The project was launched in 2017, and is run by a consortium of organisations from the Bordeaux metropolitan area specialising in vocational training, integration and solidarity.   In light the impacts and successes observed in the experiments carried out, a second project, Solidérance 2, is currently under preparation. It is particularly aimed at increasing the number of partner structures and construction sites.
Third places for learning? This is a subject that fascinates Denis CRISTOL, Director of Engineering and Training Systems at CNFPT, Associate Researcher at Paris Ouest Nanterre, and expert in pedagogical innovation.  First of all, because the notion of “learnance” that he has developed and implemented addresses all the conditions that facilitate the act of learning. Also because place is a relevant and enlightening indicator of how we perceive training and learning. The fact that our training rooms and lecture theatres have changed very little since the Middle Ages cannot be without reason, he begins.

Identifying their own strengths and competencies helps them to see the wide range of job possibilities available to them. ProfilPASS counselling does just that.

Urban gardens are expanding around the world to encourage local production and consumption, social inclusion, dialogue and the adoption of a sustainable way of life. Indeed, whatever its shape, its size, each of them seeks the achievement of common objectives: social, educational, ecological, aesthetic, fun. Thus, they implement participative practices in their design, management and mode of operation.

Purpose: Coaching is an approach that enables individuals to realize their own potential and strengths, to increase their awareness, to find themselves, and that encourages and supports the process of fulfilling goals by balancing different spheres of life. Adoption and implementation of coaching philosophy also have great importance in terms of teachers' relationship with students.

The development of citizens’ knowledge, skills and competences has always been priority to the European community. Therefore the recognition of that knowledge, skills and competences is a very important issue for the development of competitiveness, employment and social cohesion in the European community.

Since October 2018, POUR LA SOLIDARITE-PLS and the Erasmus+ european project partners of Training 4 Sustainable Food Systems Development - T4F work together to create a formation which aims to develop and/or reinforce the sustainable competencies with (future) workers of the food industry sectors.

The objective of this paper is to present the different possibilities for the application of modern web 2.0 tools in e-learning. The paper starts by explaining and defining the basic concepts of nonformal learning and e-learning 2.0, going on to explain nonformal learning mediated by technologies. It concludes with an explication of the concept of personal learning environments as a proposal for a contemporary solution for e-learning. An overview is also given of the most commonly-used 2.0 tools, along with the implications for their use in modern education.

Valorize NFIL Across Europe is an Erasmus plus KA2 Adult started in 2018.

STARTING NEEDS:

Council Recommendation of 20th December 2012 on the validation of non-formal and informal learning (NFIL) started an European common process the involved quite all UE countries.

Many researches put in evidence that this process shows 2 problems:

Ernesto VILLALBA GARCIA's picture

Everyone learns outside formal institutions, but the needs to validate non-formal and informal learning might be different for a migrant wanting to start working, a person that dropped out of school that wants to resume education or an employee that wants to improve its career prospects. Do we need different systems for each of those users? Can we just have one system that meets all their needs?

Do we actually learn more by formalising learning? There is a tendency to formalise learning. The most prominent development is the establishment of Qualifications Frameworks and Accreditation of Prior Learning systems. Both initiatives are based on the assumption that learning can be described in terms of learning outcomes.

Thinking in terms of learning outcomes is not a bad thing. As a proxy, it clarifies what people learn; it focuses the development of learning programmes; it allows recognition of prior learning against agreed standards.
