The Assembly of the Posavina Canton adopted the Law on Adult Education on the 6th regular meeting held on October 2, 2019. Thus, the process of creating legal framework is completed in the last administrative unit responsible for adult education which now represents a base for development and further regulation of this field in entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

Call for proposals for CSO as part of the “Together against the corruption” project funded by the European Union. Center for Investigative Journalism SCOOP Macedonia from Skopje in cooperation with the Institute for Human Rights (IHR) from Skopje and Center for Media Community Development MEDIUM from Gostivar, as part of the joint project “Together against the corruption”, funded by the European Union under the Civil Society Facility and Media Programme 2016-2017 IPA/2017/155322-3/7, are announcing call for proposals for civil society organisations (SCO) for actions within the grant scheme of the project.

"Fully Trained and Dedicated Teachers For A European School With Happy, Kind, Valued Children project" was implemented in our school between 01.08.2017 – 31.07.2019. Being part of a community affected by unemployment and poverty is a real challenge for teachers to achieve visible results with particular groups of students, therefore, the implementation of this project funded by the European Union Erasmus+ programme was a great opportunity for us.

Applications for the Small Grants Round are being accepted online from 21stAugust – 12noon on 11th September 2019.

The Ireland Funds Small Grants Round supports a wide range of not-for-profit and community organisations in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The Small Grants Round offers awards up to €10,000 for small community organisations and for organisations that have not previously been supported by The Ireland Funds

 

A new University-Industry Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on Educational Data Literacy is offered by the Learn2Analyse Consortium. The Learn to Analyze Educational Data and Improve your Blended and Online Teaching MOOC supports the development of the basic competences for Educational Data Analytics of Online and Blended teaching and learning.

Equal opportunities for social participation—the central objective of publicly-funded adult learning—are essential in the area of digitalisation, too. General adult learning can be a strong partner for improving life skills in a digitalised world. Following the last reform of ongoing vocational training, AFEST (Action for Workplace Learning) has become a teaching method in its own right. A formal training device, AFEST derives from precisely structured engineering. EPALE France has associated itself with the journal Education Permanente, issue No. 216 of which focuses on learning and training in the workplace, to propose a day of discussions and considerations of AFEST.

The purpose of FGU

Preparatory basic education and training (FGU) is a programme for young people under the age of 25 who need additional help in order to be able to enter upper secondary education or to enter the labour market.

The purpose of FGU is to develop and improve the academic, vocational, personal and social competencies of students. The goal is for students to quickly reach a stage where they are able to either get a job or begin upper secondary education.

The Scottish Funding Council has provided guidance for universities and colleges on funding for upskilling in 2019-2020. Those who will benefit most from using the resource include university / college heads and education leaders, senior university / college staff and those who work in further or higher education financial and funding teams.

Holistic education is an approach towards developing educational courses and programmes within FGU whereby teaching is built up around complete wholes that are meaningful for the students to work with. As teachers within FGU, you all have ample experience planning instructive and motivating courses. This experience can now be brought into play in the planning of holistic courses across both general and vocational subjects.

The Education Strategy 2018-2025 is the basis of the activities of the institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia in the field of education for the period till 2025. It builds on the current state in the educational system and aims at their gradual development according to the established priorities.

The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) conducted an independent evaluation of the Youthreach programme in late 2018 which has been published by SOLAS, the Further Education and Training Authority.
