Learning environments

The main objective of the Media Literacy in Finland policy is to provide comprehensive, high-quality and systematic media education. The vision underpinning the policy is to provide effective media education so that everyone in Finland can have better opportunities to develop their media literacy. The policy present a number of proposals for measures supporting the achievement of the objectives.
 

Recipients of the Times Higher Education Awards have been announced, with the University of Strathclyde winning University of the Year and Dame Athene Donald from the University of Cambridge winning the Lifetime Achievement Award. Some universities took home more than one award, including Loughborough University and the University of West London. A full list of winners is provided in this news article.  

Center for Practical Learning (CPL) is an organization created by German and Danish production schools facilitating national and international student exchanges involving practical working in certified workshops (renamed LearningLabs).

Corporate Social Responsibility requires businesses to make responsible choices and limit the negative impact their activities have on the environment. Customers are increasingly aware of the impact their own purchases can have and frequently choose to give their custom to organisations that champion CSR initiatives. Even the smallest of changes can have a big impact. Education providers should think about changes they can make and aim to support the environment as we enter into a greener decade.

The FORMALAB as a third place for learning is polyfunctional, open, flexible, mobilizable; it is based on the presumption of competence in individuals; it breaks codes and opens spaces of freedom to learn; it develops collaborative, cooperative, facilitating and stimulating approaches.

It all started with a recommendation for training. When I heard it would include 10-12 hours of work a day throughout 7 days, I was quite surprised. Especially since I felt the enjoyment and even enthusiasm of the speaker who had actually attended this training. I was astonished and this is when I started to feel really CURIOUS.

How can such intense training possibly be effective? I decided to find out. Slightly suspicious and curios like Sherlock Holmes, I was heading to a lovely Dutch town to solve this mystery.

Environmental policies have been developed in order to protect the ecosystem in the world system where the human population has increased rapidly and natural resources have been consumed within economic activities irreversibly. Sustainable development goals that have emerged through the testing of ecological boundaries, which suggest a balanced relationship between the economy and the environment, have been developed on a global scale. This study was examined the environmental policies in Turkey within the sustainable development framework.

Ecology based art production emerged from the end 1960s to 1980s by the effect of environmental art movements particularly earth and land work. Ecology artists have worked out of the known techniques and tools in art. Some preferred shaping the materials found in nature whereas others used waste materials and recycled them. Some artists, on the other hand, had an interdisciplinary approach and used educational documents and tried to develop solutions to a global level environmental problem.
