 Decisive steps are being taken in vocational education in Edremit. Vocational education, which is one of the priorities of the 2023 Vision Document and the Ministry of National Education, is of great importance for the production and service sectors. Aware of the critical role of vocational high schools in development, the District National Education Directorate has designated the 2019-2020 academic year as the breakthrough year in vocational education in our district.

Recipients of the Times Higher Education Awards have been announced, with the University of Strathclyde winning University of the Year and Dame Athene Donald from the University of Cambridge winning the Lifetime Achievement Award. Part IV: Interview with the head of the Baross Gábor Educational Centre

The Educational Centre is an institution with a dual role: it is involved in implementing the training programme of the company group as well as organizing the training of trainers. What resources are required for the organization to efficiently deal with both challenges?

The Hungarian and German EPALE National Support Services have launched a joint thematic week with a focus on workplace learning. Annamária Kiss, the Ambassador of EPALE Hungary conducted a series of interviews with five organisations investing a great deal of effort in training their employees.

The integration of migrants involves employment, and employment requires learning the language of the host country. Pistes-Solidaires has been a partner in the WORK-VR project since September 2018. The project was launched by the Danish organisation VIFIN, and focuses on the use of virtual reality for language learning and integration. The aim is to create an e-learning platform for learning work-related language and cultural skills.

In this course, trainees produce food through hygiene and sanitation rules. The course aims to teach the trainees how to create a standard recipe, to plan the meal for mass nutrition, to make basic sauces used in international cuisine.  It also aims to make terms and methods used in both national and international cuisine as a skill and to make dishes from international cuisine as well as Turkish cuisine.

Coop. in Italy (Palermo), and Tikitut community based tourism in Sweden (Gothenburg) have formed a three-year strategic partnership (2018-2020) funded by the European Erasmus + programme, with the aim of developing a resource platform for professionals or groups of professionals who accompany and train refugees and migrants in their professional, social and cultural integration.

David Campbell Event Management facilitated the Broadening Horizons For Life Erasmus+ fully-funded mobility project that took learners from the UK to Spain where they gained a cultural education, sports knowledge and team building skills. The presentation covers the events that took place during the trip, provides great images and can be adapted by others to use for their own projects.
