Financial literacy

Safeguarding Ireland has urged the delivery of Adult Safeguarding Legislation to better protect vulnerable adults and reduce abuse.

In parallel, the organisation also called for the development of a Regulatory Framework for Adult Safeguarding and an independent National Advocacy Service.

Panel on Financial Literacy and Economic Empowerment of Women was organized in cooperation with, Samsun Provincial Directorate of Family, Labor and Social Services, Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council and Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction (TISVA), in order to increase the knowledge and raise awareness about women's financial literacy.

SUCCEED's partnership was composed of expert educational organizations such as CONFORM (Italy), BICERO (Slovenia) and FUNIBER (Spain) and a wide range of business support organizations: a business incubator, The Hive(Italy) and many networks of enterprises such as SATEAN(Romania), Italian-Luxembourgish Chamber of Commerce (Luxembourg), RES and CBE (both from Belgium).

Informal learning is unexpected – it doesn’t follow a set structure and gaining new knowledge might surprise the learner. To celebrate EPALE’s current Non-formal and Informal Learning theme, we decided to seek out informal learning stories from Ecorys staff and prove how informal learning can be one of the best learning processes.

In Karabük, 7985 people living under international protection (Iraqi, Afghan and Iranian) live.

There are 5073 male and 2912 female living in our city.

The group of our project is composed of internationally protected women who have received Turkish at A1 level in Karabük Public Education Directorate. A total of 40 women from Afghani, Iraqi and Iranian who were studying Turkish at A1 level were included in the project.

It is widely acknowledged that social exclusion causes long lasting harmful effect to the quality of life and future opportunities. According to Eurostat statistics, around three out of ten young people in Europe are experiencing social exclusion. This problem is also relevant in the Baltic countries. Many young people live in families facing the risk of poverty. One of the reasons for social exclusion is inability to manage personal finances. Personal finance management skills are necessary for everyone – regardless of the age, occupation or social status; everyone purchases everyday essentials – necessity goods.

Waiting for the Selection of KA1 project results in Adult Education for 2018 Call, Our project ''I Have an Idea!'' will be applied in the leadership of Antalya Provincial Directorate of National Education and there are 3 members of adult education institutions in the concortium. With the help of this project, our primary aim is to help individuals apart from their vocational education, we'd like to raise awareness of entrepreneuership culture and relatedly we will be able to help them to take part in social and economic life as productive individuals.

The HBM project supports the development of innovative ICT-based content for lifelong learning in the field of financial education. It fosters the uptake of ICT for learning in education and training systems, including open and distance learning and open educational resources. This universal subject – financial education – is applicable to many sectors almost in the same shape: the needs are the same for students, youth, adults, or seniors.
