This year EDEN will be proudly hosting the fourth year of the European Distance Learning Week (EDLW) in cooperation with the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) – and our Special Partner for 2019: the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA).
IÐAN fræðslusetur is a non-profit continuing education provider serving numerous trades in Iceland. Our courses are designed for skilled tradespeople who have finished their trades education, trade masters and for managers in companies in our industries. We are a tight-knit team of 25 people situated in Reykjavík. Some of us have been with the company since it was founded over ten years ago.
The final international meeting Erasmus+ GENDER EDUCATION ADVANCING COMPETENCES IN CONTEXT OF CHANGING EUROPE took place on October 27, 2019 in Prague. This project was implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
The partners of the Erasmus+ project DIMESCA - Digital, MEdiation, Skills in lifelong CAeer Guidance have been looking for good practices in the field of digital facilitation and inclusion in lifelong career guidance services.
Literacy, numeracy and social skills are fundamental to master typical situations in everyday working life. Competence deficits in this areas can prove to be an obstacle to permanent and successful integration into the labour market especially for migrants, refugees but also for locals.This is where the ERASMUS+ project “Workplace Basic Skills” kicks in!
Scottish colleges will be welcoming Digital Ambition Roadshows in autumn 2019 – students and staff will be asked what they think learning will look like in the future and their responses will then be used to develop a ‘digital ambition’ for the country. Six colleges will be receiving the roadshows, which are listed in the article.
Dear EPALE community,
I would like to inform you that we have successfully started our Erasmus+ project (ID: 2019-1-SK01-KA204-060805). The aim of the project is to improve the quality of adult education in career counseling, the development of talent and soft-skills of the unemployed, in order to find better employment and satisfaction in their lives. Moreover, this project will also help career advisors to use new tool in their consultancy.
We got an amazing experience to be invited to the EPALE Conference 2019. We gained new knowledge, information regarding the adult learning, also about how to use the platform and how we will be able to leverage it in the future.
We also got an opportunity to share our experiences with EPALE platform. As we are starting now our Erasmus Plus projects, we will be even more aware of all great features, which is offering EPALE for project implementation and dissemination.

Learning affects mental and thought processes. Constant learning creates new neural pathways, with the brain remaining in function and not deteriorating.

By using a variety of technical tools, a greater number of information can be displayed, and the material presented is more interesting.

Kutsestandardiga seotud õppekavas on õpiväljundid kooskõlas vastavas standardis kirjeldatud kompetentsidega ning õppekava hindamiskriteeriumid on koostatud kutsestandardis esitatud tegevusnäitajate alusel.

W przestrzeni mediów rozwija się przedsiębiorczość, promowane są rozmaite style życia, kształtują się relacje społeczne. Media intensywnie wkraczają też w naszą codzienność, obecne są w niej w różnych odmianach i formach.
Podejmowane rozważania dotyczyć będą dwóch głównych zagadnień, z jednej strony obecności mediów w przestrzeni społecznej, z drugiej obrazu przestrzeni społecznej w mediach.
The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has released a new toolkit that can be used to harness students’ digital skills and support teaching, learning and assessment. It includes a step-by-step guide, as well as a wealth of downloadable resources. It is free to download from the ETF website.
Flexible Education Norway (Fleksibel Utdanning Norge; FuN) is an organisation that aims to develop online teaching methods and to support research and development of methods and techniques in the field of flexible education. The organisation published in 2017 a quality guide in Norwegian for online educators. The guide has been translated to English, in cooperation with the European Association for Distance Learning (EADL).
Yrkesnorsk.no is a web page for adult refugees and immigrants. These learning resources are developed for the adult education centre in Skien by Lina Vikre Skifjeld, Stine Hansen Bakkebø and Hanne Bakken Bjørnstad.
The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has launched a toolkit that can be used to utilise students’ digital capabilities to support teaching, learning and assessment. Both the toolkit and a report that details the researcher’s findings can be downloaded from the ETF Excellence Gateway website.
It is a multilingual Learning Management System developed with the aim to equip learners with knowledge, abilities and skills that allow them to enter the entrepreneurial world, via Industry 4.0 and Drone Technology, in order to yield the related opportunities. It includes a course, trainer guidelines, evaluation tools and e-learning platform.
Technology Skills 2022: Ireland’s Third ICT Skills Action Plan sets out priority actions to meet Ireland’s needs for graduates skilled in computing and electronic and electrical engineering to support and drive economic performance over the coming years.
The plan is informed by research conducted by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs (EGFSN). The ambitious targets in the plan will increase the total number of graduates with high-level ICT skills by more than 5,000 every year by 2022.
This is an Erasmus+ funded project which aims to design and implement effective training tools for enhancing key skills and competences of (a) highly-skilled refugees and (b) the language teachers who work with them, and so enhance the employability and societal integration of skilled refugees.
