EPALE

Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe

E-learning

After two years of continuous work, our Erasmus+ strategic partnership "Languages, Opening Gates to Society" (LOGS) has finished. Four organizations from  four different European countries were involved:

  • The Finnish Folk High School, Gothenburg, Sweden (coordinator)
  • CFA Catalonia, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain (partner)
  • Jazyková škola Poprad, Czech republic (partner)
  • Tartu Folk High School, Tartu, Estonia (partner)

The objectives of projects were:

The Connected Care of Older Adults training programme - developed for formal and informal caregivers – consists of the following modules:

Module 1: Digital skills for caregivers
Module 2: Active and healthy ageing
Module 3: Assistive technologies
Module 4: Virtual communities

For the online course a multilingual e-learning environment was implemented, in which standard e-learning course components (core content, glossaries, self-assessment tools, assignments, quizzes) and web 2.0 tools facilitating constructive learning were combined.

The Estonian Euroguidance Centre has the pleasure to invite teachers and the wider European Guidance Community across Europe to a WEBINAR, where our experts – Ms. Maria Tiidus and Ms. Jelizaveta Dulberg – will introduce some new cross-media tools; showcasing the latest experiences on addressing gender equality in career guidance.

At the end of the summer of 2019, the DIAL project comes to an end presenting not only the expected but also fruitful results with added value. The team has developed an active and demanded teaching platform, has organized pilot tests and actual trainings with the main target groups of the project. Furthermore, the project’s leading partner follows the example and makes first steps towards Senior University in Latvia.

The National Adult Literacy Agency (NALA) invites tender submissions from experienced innovation design, digital learning and EdTech agencies to design, develop and support an online assessment tool for the ERASMUS+ Check-In-Take-Off (CITO) project. The online assessment tool will be used by members of the public to assess their literacy, numeracy and digital skills and will allow them to look at their readiness to learn and learning goals.

The HR Club of Moravian and Silesian Region from the Czech Republic (https://www.kpms.cz/) in cooperation with Bulgarian partner Together and Portuguesse partner CooLabora developed under the Erasmus+ project the e-learning content concerning gender and equal treatment. This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.

How can we plan a project that contributes to equal opportunities in adult education? How can we transfer this knowledge? You will learn the conditions of a transfer and you will get practical information to design and implement your transfer activities. The example of Equal Space will show you, what to look for in a transfer.
In the first quarter of this century, digital media has been consolidated as an essential part of everyday life. The digital world presumably presents many advantages and opportunities nonetheless, it also carriers risks and threats we were not used to. In the age of fake news, disinformation, algorithms, artificial intelligence, ubiquitous learning, social networks, etc. it is essential to understand the operating principles and mechanisms of the Internet and media to safely navigate the Internet environment and take informed decisions.

A large number of psychological studies claim that a person's consciousness changes while they are learning, and there are various mental processes that have an effective effect on the development of the brain and the consciousness. Learning affects mental and thought processes. Constant learning creates new neural pathways, with the brain remaining in function and not deteriorating.

Digital learning and education are as important as formal education has been up to now, however there is a much larger amount of information available through digital learning. By using a variety of technical tools, a greater number of information can be displayed, and the material presented is more interesting.

It is a multilingual Learning Management System developed with the aim to equip learners with knowledge, abilities and skills that allow them to enter the entrepreneurial world, via Industry 4.0 and Drone Technology, in order to yield the related opportunities. It includes a course, trainer guidelines, evaluation tools and e-learning platform.
