The partners of the Erasmus+ project DIMESCA - Digital, MEdiation, Skills in lifelong CAeer Guidance have been looking for good practices in the field of digital facilitation and inclusion in lifelong career guidance services.

Lifelong learning festivals were held in Malatya in cooperation with Malatya Governorate and Malatya NSS. Authorities stated that the Learning Festival is a set of activities that aim to increase participation in lifelong learning activities, inform the public about learning opportunities, encourage learning by having fun, and include artistic and cultural performances. and to enable individuals to participate actively in learning processes. The aim of SkillsPlus is to give adults the opportunity to acquire the basic skills they need to keep up with the demands and changes in modern working life and civil society. Skills Norway has the administrative responsibility for a programme directed towards developing basic competence for working life. The programme was established in 2006. Since then 30 000 participants received training at the workplace.
The Skills Highway has been established to help employers learn how workplace literacy and numeracy training can help them improve business performance. The Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WLN) Fund is provided by the Tertiary Education Commission and manged by the Industry Training Federation. Workplace basic skills trainings have been developed and evaluated during the last 20 years in many countries of the European Union and beyond e.g. Canada, New Zealand, USA, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland and Germany. In the framework of this OER unit there will only be a selection of programs and projects portrayed: New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland and Germany.
EU’s Upskilling Pathways and Workplace Basic Skills

We recently delivered an E+ project where we sent both young and older learners to Portugal on a work placement programme.
As we were anticipating that this might be the first time some of our learners had lived away from home, we created a document titled "Independent Living Guide", which covered Planning for travel, work, etc, but also gave our participants tips on Health and Wellbeing and Personal Safety.
