Zbliżają się świeta. Cudowny czas: dla chrześcijan - z powodów religijnych, a tak naprawdę, to dla wszystkich, bo wolne i promocje :) . W tym okresie wszystko wydaje się ładniejsze, bardziej kolorowe, atrakcyjniejsze. Promocja, obniżka, reklamy, okazje… Te hasła nie są obce także produktom edukacyjnym. Wielkie platformy edukacyjne ogłaszają spadki cen. Blogerzy i influencerzy posiadający produkty edukacyjne ogłaszają wyprzedaże. „Tylko do jutra!”, „naucz się czegoś przed końcem roku!”, to tylko niektóre hasła atakujące mnie ostatnio na Facebooku czy w ogóle w przestrzeni Internetu.

Mature students studying at university face more challenges than those straight out of school or college. Juggling work and caring responsibilities while studying after time out of the education system can be a difficult experience, but there are many things that educators can do to support them. This is Part One of a two-part blog post that explores the experiences and opinions of two mature students studying at university and provides advice to educators who may also be supervising older learners.

Vom 8. bis 15. September 2019 fand in Frankreich die 6. Ausgabe des landesweiten Aktionstags gegen Analphabetismus statt. In diesem Jahr stand die nationale Kampagne unter dem Motto  „Wenn man lernt, ist schon der kleinste Fortschritt ein Sieg“, und es wurden die Siege gegen Analphabetismus gewürdigt, indem individuelle Geschichten präsentiert wurden.

From 8 to 15 September 2019 the 6th edition of the National Days of Action against Illiteracy (JNAI) took place. This year, the theme of the national campaign was: “When we are learning, the slightest progress is a victory”, honouring victories over illiteracy, and recognising people’s progress through portraits.

Sie bieten die Möglichkeit, eine kritische Analyse des Begriffs „Dritte“ sowie des Begriffs „Platz“ in Bezug auf Wirtschaft, Gebiet, Arbeit und Governance durchzuführen. Sie gestatten die gegenseitige Befruchtung und die Weitergabe von Wissen, ausgehend von einer Praxis von Räumen, indem andere Entwicklungsszenarien gedacht werden, die wir rund um die Dimension des franzöischen Begriffs „populaire“ diskutieren können (Zentralität der Arbeiterklasse, Schattenwirtschaft, außerschulische Bildung).

Third spaces as "out-of-place” spaces cause offset and edge effects. They offer the possibility of feeding a critical analysis on the notion of "third" as well as that of "place" in a relationship to the economy, territory, work and governance. They facilitate cross-fertilization and dissemination of knowledge using a space-based practice by imagining other development scenarios that could be discussed in a "popular" dimension (popular centrality, popular economy, popular education).

The Free Thinking Programme for Survivors of Modern Slavery allows victims of modern slavery and human trafficking to gain an education and enjoy part-time residency on campus at Northern College. The second of a series of blog posts about the programme, this piece provides an insight into the experiences of one of the students, who gives thanks to her educators and describes her feelings concerning her status as a modern slavery survivor. Educators working with vulnerable groups may find this blog psot beneficial for better understanding the trauma that some learners have to cope with and to help them provide the best learning experience.
