As a result of learning theories and developing technologies, the change of learning and teaching approach showed us that as learning is individualized, it may be performed not only in class but in anywhere and everywhere. These kind of e-learning environments became more common. However, e-learning applications have disadvantages, and these disadvantages need to be covered with face-to-face education environments, thus, blended learning approach emerges as a requirement at this point. While implementing blended learning, which is appreciated by higher education institutionsandused to fulfill the needs of individuals, using appropriate learning strategies for learners at the right time is a necessity

The mastery of certain IT tools as well as the desire to continue doing the work she loves (and she loves doing together!) have pushed Sara's colleagues to try to adapt their offer in the face of the emergency situation and to use it as an opportunity to acquire new skills. This experience has taught them a lot and has "forced" them to use new tools. It was certainly a triumph and a continuous learning process that allowed them to continue to carry out the mission of their association despite the current situation.

Save the date for the Final Conference of the Erasmus+ project 'Alternative Ways' on 6th October 2020 in Brussels. Whilst working with different language-groups, both in formal and informal ways, the partners in the Alternative Ways project experienced that there is a significant number of learners that succeeds in learning a new language. However, they also noticed that the drop-out rate is relatively high. It is because of this high drop-out rate that they started this project and developed a toolkit.

This pilot programme of 14 weeks combined English language learning with developing and updating existing practical skills of refugees in areas where there is a local skills shortage, such as plumbing, electrical works, construction, etc.  The programme was focused on male refugees with trade/practical skills backgrounds, who had dropped out of formal language classes and were at risk of increased isolation and mental health concerns.  The programme was developed by Conway Education Centre in consultation with refugees and two local training organisations. It was supported by local employers and the NI Department for the Economy through ESOL NI.

Today almost all students have access to a phone. So what have been some of the greatest challenges in moving Gloria's curriculum online? One is that the most marginalised pupils might not have access to any electronic device at all. So straightaway they are excluded from digital learning. Consequently, we must adapt to the age of technology that we are in.

Magdalena is 25 years old and she is currently working as an external associate at the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar where she teaches Italian to adult students. Taking into account both my professions, when learning a foreign language, I often talk about the customs and way of life of the country whose language I teach. "We learn a language, whether native or foreign, primarily through contact and communication with other people because we are social beings. So how now, when we are forbidden to be social, are we supposed to cling to learning, and teaching, a foreign language?"

Antud magistritöö eesmärk on uurida inglise keele õppimist ja õpetamist Tartu Kutsehariduskeskuses erinevast soost ja erinevas vanuses olevate õppjate seas. Kuna täiskasvanud õppijate osakaal Tartu Kutsehariduskeskuses igal aastal kasvab, siis on oluline uurida, kuidas eristuvad täiskasvanud õppijad tavaõppijatest. Ankeedi vastuseid analüüsides selgub, et täiskasvanud õppijaid iseloomustab rida erinevusi võrreldes tavaõppijaga õpimotivatsioonis, õppimise eesmärkide seadmises ning keeletundide hindamises.
