The EPALE Resource Centre is a bank of materials that will help keep you up to date with adult education best practices and reference documents.

We publish case studies of innovative adult education approaches, reports and policy documents as well as magazine and newspaper articles.

You will also be able to find open education resources as well as training and learning materials so you will always have access to the best tools to help you in your everyday work.

 

How to use the Resource Centre

There are several ways to browse and search the EPALE Resource Centre:

  1. Browse The newest content is at the top of the page so you can easily stay up to date with the most recent developments in the sector.

  2. Search Go straight to a specific resource by typing the title, author or keyword in the search box.

  3. Filter Filter by type of resource, theme, tags, country, author and language. Relevant resources will be listed to the left of the page.

As Britain faces up to the growing COVID-19 unemployment crisis, remedying the decline in funding and provision of skills and training will be essential for helping workers back into good jobs. This report in particular explores the role that adult education does and could play in improving the labour market outcomes of low-income households. It draws on desk research, quantitative analysis and in-depth interviews with both participants and non-participants in adult education from low-income households, and provides a series of policy considerations.

Plaid Cymru’s Care Commission report on social care in Wales

The Care Commission set up by Plaid Cymru has released a report on social care in Wales, recommending that social care be made free at the point of need as is the case with health care, as well as many other progressive recommendations. The report is free to download from the Plaid Cymru website and will be of use to social care staff.

UK Adult Learning policy and provision report

The European Commission has recently published a new synthesis report on the current situation of national adult learning policies and systems across the EU-28. The report brings together findings fron a set of full country reports updated in 2017. The Harman Directory is a free practical guide that helps prisoners and those recently released from prison to find supplementary support and other kinds of financial support.
