Stepping Stones for the Sustainable Development Goals: A workbook for community and adult education practitioners

The workbook serves as a tool for Adult and Community Educators interested in incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their work.

The structure of the workbook entails:

  • Introduction to SDGs
  • Learning activity for each Goal
  • Action or event related to the Goal
  • Learning outcomes
  • Local and global connections
  • Project ideas

The workbook includes Cases Study from the Irish context. The initiatives are related to Life Below Water (SDG14) with ‘Plastic Free Waterford’, Life on Land (SDG15) with ‘Carraig Dulra’, and Partnership for the Goals (SDG17) with ‘Wicklow public participation network’s vision for community well-being.’   

The workbook has been created as part of Saolta, the development education programme launched in 2020.
