‘Factors and motivations affecting attitudes towards and propensity to learn through the life course’ examines the factors that influence attitudes towards learning in adults.

Commissioned as part of the Foresight Future of skills and lifelong learning project the report explores:

  • the importance of learning during adulthood
  • the shared characteristics of adults who choose to participate in learning
  • the factors and attitudes that effect an adult’s willingness to learn
  • how to maximise adults’ participation in learning
