Distance education is a method of training in which students and teachers are gathered at a different times and places, through teaching materials and communication technologies (letter, video, CD, television). Distance education has emerged with the need to meet the educational needs of adults. Nowadays, distance education is contributing to adult education in different fields by developing technological tools and methods. Adult education centers are used in the education of adults in our country and every year they apply to public education centers with many adult education demands. Together with technological developments, educational institutions need to revise their organizational capabilities and programs and restructure them for lifelong learning. In this context, the aim of this study is to explore the opinions of teachers working in public education centers on the availability of distance education in adult education. Phenomenology pattern was used in the study. The data obtained from the research were evaluated by means of qualitative method, semantic descriptions, and similarities.
