Keeping out of trouble

A new discussion paper from Ideas Collective focuses on ideas for improvements in systems and services for people with learning disabilities who get in trouble with the law. The group discussion included experts from the field and former prisoners and was an opportunity to share best practice examples.
The paper focuses on the following;
- Stopping people with learning disabilities engaging in risky or offending behaviour that gets them into trouble with the law
- Increasing the availability of alternatives to prison or hospital
- Helping people resettle successfully following detention.
