Writing 1 is session 6 of the revised Initial Training in Adult Literacies Learning (ITALL) pack. This aims to give participants an understanding of the skills and processes involved in being a competent writer. It also seek to help them be ready to apply this knowledge when working with a learner on writing.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

• identify some of the processes involved in writing a range of texts
• apply their knowledge of these processes when considering appropriate teaching and learning approaches to use when working on writing with a literacies learner
