As part of the Thematic Discussion Community Space at the EPALE IN ACTION conference, Alexander Braddell presented on the discussion topic ESOL and the Autonomous Literacy Learners Project.

Alexander Braddell is a practitioner-researcher specialising in workplace language, literacy and numeracy learning. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in the UK at local, regional and national levels with a range of public, voluntary and private sector organisations. He helps co-ordinate the Language for Work Network, sponsored by the European Centre for Modern Languages. Recent European work includes the transfer-of-innovation project, TDAR and ALL-SR Erasmus+ project. He is director of the Oxfordshire Skills Escalator Centre Ltd, a small social enterprise supporting workplace learning in Oxfordshire. He has a particular interest in non-formal and informal learning.
