Educational Video on Permaculture Training for Rural Development

The "Permanent Benefits for Adults in Rural Areas" project aims to enhance sustainable development in rural communities by equipping adults with practical skills and knowledge. Our focus is on permaculture, environmental management, and sustainable entrepreneurship, which are important for supporting resilient rural areas. This project was designed to improve our strategies and actions in line with EU environmental policies.
An 8-day training course took place in Cantabria, Spain. Participants gained a solid understanding of permaculture principles, environmental management techniques, and business skills. The course covered topics like regenerative agriculture, ecosystem design, and resource conservation, with an emphasis on using permaculture to address climate change.
Following the training in Spain, a local workshop was held in Latvia. Participants shared their experiences and practical insights with the local community. An educational video was created during this workshop, summarizing the key takeaways. The video, in Latvian, offers subtitles that can be switched to English. You can watch it here: Permanent Benefits for Adults in Rural Areas.
The project has provided participants with the skills needed to implement sustainable projects in their communities, contributing to both environmental sustainability and economic development in rural areas.
The project was co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and supported by the State Education Development Agency.
