Education and Training Foundation (ETF) toolkit for utilising students’ digital capabilities to support teaching, learning and assessment
The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has launched a toolkit that can be used to utilise students’ digital capabilities to support teaching, learning and assessment. It contains a step-by-step guide to support staff-student partnerships, models, approaches, case studies and various tools. It will be most beneficial for education providers.
The toolkit draws on key findings from four pilots that took place earlier this year. Basingstoke College of Technology, Bishop Auckland College, City Lit and Heart of Worcestershire College led the pilots, allowing them to test models of student-staff partnerships and share their findings with the sector. Teachers built a higher awareness of learning technologies that are available and were able to consider how they could be used to enhance students’ learning. The pilots also provided the opportunity for teachers to learn about their students’ knowledge of technology.
The toolkit can be downloaded with a report that details the researcher’s findings and allows for greater understanding of each individual project. Both the toolkit and the report can be accessed on the ETF Excellence Gateway website.
