This presentation is given on the Annual Conference of the European Basic Skills Networks (EBSN) in Madrid in 2013. The title of the conference is ‘Opening doors - Developing partnerships for basic skills training beyond the classroom’.

The presentation gives insight into adult literacy issues in Turkey and Mother Child Education Foundation’s (AÇEV) actions.

AÇEV conducts research, develops and implements programs in early childhood and adult education in Turkey. Their education activities are literacy and women’s support, family training, early childhood programs, and work in the field of public education and policy.
