Institute for Roma and Minorities Inclusion from Germany works on socio economic inclusion and participation of Roma and other minorities including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
Institute for Roma and Minority was established on the premises of the long lasting and wide spread discrimination against the Roma throughout the Europe. The scope of the work of our Institute is predominantly based on Roma community characterized by low skills on the labor market, high level of unemployed, low level of involvement in VET and Adult education activities.
We operate through the follow objectives aligned with EU Roma Strategy for inclusion, equality and participation 2020-2030 :
2.Roma have increased education and training performance which results in higher number of employed Roma
3. Roma are active citizens in the field of Roma policies contributing for well being of Roma community and society
4. Increased educational performances of Roma children and young people
5. Reduce gap in housing deprivation
IRM has hosted over 350 young people and adults, providing international non-formal learning experiences including youth exchanges, trainings, seminars, job shadowing, study visits and exchange of good practices.
