We are an association from Poland working with disabled people. We are looking for a hosting organisation in Croatia and Slovakia able to host a group of our employees  for a jobshadowing. We want to strengthen our social and personal competences, which help us to work better with disabled people in non- formal and non-vocational education (adult education).  

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an organization that:

1. working with disabled adults, especially with intellectual disability and mental disorders and olders as well
2. allow us to observe (follow) practitioners in their daily work, exchange good practices, acquire skills and knowledge
3. want to build long-term partnerships with our organisation
4.  show us how they strengthen and develop adult education (non vocational education) especially in the areas of  key competences and soft skills, cultural awareness
5. receive a group of 4 our employees.

We want to know especially how you deal with motivating yourself and disabled people, how you organize your work, which methods do you prefer, what barriers do you experience, how do you work with family of disabled people and surroundings (social inclusion), what about inclusion disabled people into cultural and local activities? And is the ecological education the part of disabled adults’ education? 

What our employees are?

4 of our employees will come to you. The most od our employees live in the countryside. From Monday to Friday they work with disabled people at the our association's facility (it is not medical facility). They work with adults and olders especially with intellectual disability. Our employees like taking part in various workshops, are open-minded. They are curious about the Europe experiences in iclusion and non vocational education of disabled people. This will be our first jobshadowing!

How many days would we like to spend with you?

We are planning the job-shadowing around the second half of 2025 (we can also change the date). We want to stay with you for 4 days (+ 1 or 2 days for travel).

It will be our first jobshadowing, so we will be need a little more time to get used to the new surroundings. Anyway there are so many topic to talk over and exchange experiences !

We would like to visit you earlier as part of preparatory visit to get to know each other better and prepare and ensure high quality of mobility activities as well. 

And something else about our association

We are an association (Stowarzyszenie Pomocy Szansa/Chance Aid Association) - a non-government organization that has been working with disabled people in Poland for over 20 years. We have 9 facilities, of which 2 work with disabled children and young people and 7 work with disabled adults. We provide support to approximately 300 disabled people every year. These are people with physical and intellectual disabilities, mental disorders and multiple disabilities.

Our facilities are located in 8 different places in Poland, ranging from 10 km to 450 km from each other. We work in the countryside in the south and east of Poland.
