Partners in the field of adult edication and working with the Roma community
The Adult Education Centre Lendava, Slovenia is committed to the work devoted to adults with fewer opportunities, vulnerable and marginalized groups, such as the elder, disabled, poorly educated, youth, and woman. We achieved the most significant results by the education of adult Roma. In the last few years, we developed several examples of good practice noticeable at both national and international levels.
From the previous experiences and based on different researches about health in the Roma community we decided that we need to empower members in the health literacy field and also help them have a healthier lifestyle. The project seeks to tackle health literacy problems and, as a result, contribute to reducing inequalities, encouraging Roma to create better-living conditions and, consequently, to a better quality of life.
For the H2O (‘’Help to Opportunities’’) project we are looking for partners, whose activities are related to the preparation and implementation of adult education and training programs, with priority being the preparation and implementation of all sorts of programs for vulnerable groups. The project will increase the health literacy between members of the Roma community and have a direct influence on a healthier lifestyle and longer life span of Roma. We are looking for partners mainly from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, and Spain, but are open to collaborating with anyone working with the Roma community.
