Partner for KA3: Support for policy reform Social inclusion through education, training and youth
We want to submit a project under the KA3 call, responding to the Specific objectives Nr. 4: "Supporting the inclusion of newly arrived migrants in good quality education, including by assessing knowledge and validating prior learning".
Here you find a short description of our proposal:
Context: According to the Eurostat Statistics, the largest group of immigrants with an EU citizenship immigrating to an EU-28 member state comes from Romania (87 % of all immigrants). Therefore, we estimate that Romanians will continue to migrate cross Europe and can be considered, also in the upcoming years, as an important group of persons newly arriving in an EU member state.
Main objectives: We want to analyse the different obstacles for labour integration in the regional job market of the partners involved in the project, by examining inclusion of Romanian immigrants on a structural, institutional, interpersonal and discursive level.
Once we have identified the obstacles, we want to find international solutions, respecting regional characteristics, which will be implemented in vocational education trainings, the Validation process of prior learning and the assessment of companies, especially SMEs. Collaborating with the public VET providers (e.g. schools, job centres) and professional associations is crucial for the successful outcome of the project.
Two main target groups will be focused: Immigrants from Romania, in order to identify their special needs. Persons, who work with the target group, in order to identify to which point they lack of skills and knowledge to effectively deal with the special needs of the target group as well as identify their own needs to that issue (teachers/trainers of VET, job-centre employees, professional associations, SME).
