We are interested in being a part of project which is about integration, social competence for adult teaching. We are an institution which has foreign convicts and detainees. We would be glad to share our experiences to one another.

İzmir No. 4 T Type Closed Penitentiary Institution is an official penal institution affiliated to the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses of the Ministry of Justice. In this context, it is a penitentiary and execution institution which has convicts/detainees as of today whom are foreign nationals, from 23 different countries.

With the education and improvement activities carried out in our institution, great efforts are made to create common values ​​suitable for the structure of a democratic society. By providing the habit of empathy, it is aimed to gain awareness about acquiring the most basic human behavior patterns such as tolerance and unconditional acceptance, respecting mutual personal differences, and changing the perspective of seeing crime as a solution tool in eliminating conflicts and problems.

We support convict/detainees with literary courses, vocational and business courses, art, sport, psycho social aid and reward system studies and applied to develop their personal improvement. Plus, the quality and quantity of seminars and conferecens will be developed. The main target is to prevent criminal behaviors, to gain social awareness after their release by providing convict/detainees attendance to the activities of education and recovery.

With the Sovereign project, it is to examine the education and enlargement studies in Europe's developed school prisons under the name of reintegrating them into the environment, which is applied for all convicts/detainees in general and foreign convicts/detainees in particular, and to diversify the studies by adapting these practices to our institution.

Storage storage maintains storage units, transfers and storages, as well as supporting common containment that encourages cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experience across Europe.

The main purpose of cooperation partnerships is to increase the security and coverage of institutions and organizations, to develop their partner networks and goals, to increase their capacity to work together at the international level, to exchange new practices and methods, to expand and to retain their privilege.
