Looking for KA2 project partners
Initiative - Centre for Education is an organisation that started off primarily from the English language school, with an emphasis on providing educational services to marginalized social groups. At the time of its establishment, the primary area of activity was the promotion of English language and culture, but with the development of human and professional capacity, the organization began implementing various programs such as marketing courses and soft skills development for adults as well as activities aimed at supporting and empowering socially disadvantaged and socially excluded groups. Today, the association organizes and conducts courses that aim to strengthen professional skills of adult learners on topics:
· General and Business English
· Digital marketing
· Soft skills development for educational staff
The Association regularly invests in its employees through various educations in the field of human resources, human rights and the improvement of knowledge in innovative teaching methods, thus consciously strengthening its own capacities. The association is active in the local community by providing a range of free activities for its members that further strengthen their skills and encourage them to be active citizens.
Alongside regular courses, the organisation has successfully implemented several projects funded by the Erasmus Fund and the European Social Fund, mostly targeting asylum seekers and the elderly. ESF project "Education for better integration of asylum seekers" with the aim of providing support for the social integration and employment of asylum seekers and ultimately better integration into Croatian society. Dedicated to the goal of reducing social inequalities and promoting social inclusion, the Association Initiative has continued its development in the direction of implementing education as a key tool for empowering vulnerable groups and is the only organization in Croatia that deals with non-formal education of adult migrants. Further more Erasmus+ KA1 project "Start the initiative" focuses on developing innovative methods of teaching focused on our employees and their training as teachers of the English language, KA 1 „Step Up“ project aims to straighten management skills of the employees as well as improve ICT tools and online facilitation. As partners in the Erasmus+ KA2 project “ European Senior Exchange ” we are focused on providing English language courses for elderly people. In 2021 we received another grant for an Erasmus+ KA2 project called ‘’Creativity for innovation’’, an international project focused on the exchange, learning, and implementing creative teaching practices.
In the 2022 March call, we are looking for partners on the subject of sharing the best practices in working with vulnerable groups in adult education. We are well experienced in working with asylum seekers, and would like to offer our examples of good practice, whilst learning from others about challenges and methodologies of other adult disadvantaged groups.
Primarily, we are looking for organizations that have hands-on experience in working with Roma people and youth exiting the alternative care system.
The main goal of our cooperation project is to learn best practices from peers and network and develop high quality learning and training solutions, in order to foster inclusion in the private and public adult education sector in Europe.
In the same time, we are open to join partnership projects where we can offer our expertise in the area of:
- English Language Skills
