Looking for a committed partner in integration and education? LundaVälkomsten in Sweden wants to collaborate!
LundaVälkomsten is a municipal organization in Lund, Sweden, offering a coordinated reception for newly arrived children, youth, and adults. We serve as a "single point of entry" into the Swedish education system, helping newcomers apply to preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school, and adult education.
🔹 Our organization consists of two teams:
- One team supports newly arrived adults in applying for Swedish language courses (SFI – Swedish For Immigrants). We assess their educational background, work and life experience, and any prior knowledge of Swedish to place them in a course that provides a solid foundation for language learning.
- The second team works with children and youth (ages 7–19), conducting assessments in literacy and numeracy to help schools understand each student’s needs and provide the best possible start in their education.
This team also works with professional development initiatives for teachers, with the aim of improving subject teaching across all school subjects, based on a language- and knowledge-developing approach (SKUA).
🔹 Our team:We are six dedicated professionals – four teachers, one administrator, and one school nurse – working closely with schools, social services, and the employment agency. We support a wide range of newcomers, including migrants, labor immigrants, family reunification cases, and international students.
🔹 What we are looking for:We are seeking international partners with similar missions – schools, municipalities, or organizations working with integration, language learning for newly arrived migrants, and professional development for subject teachers. We are interested in mutual exchange of experiences, skills development, and joint projects within the framework of Erasmus+.
