Utena Third Age University (UTAU) is an adults’ education institution with the following goals, objectives and main activities: to support better integration of older people into society, to strengthen their active participation in public opinion formation and decision-making processes; to investigate and promote older people's cultural and social experience; to strengthen communication among generations based on the principles of solidarity and cooperation; to organize lectures, conferences, seminars, to provide possibilities of self-expression for older people; to promote lifelong learning and adults education; to promote international cooperation in the fields of education, social life and culture. The structure of the University includes 5 faculties: Faculty of Political Science and History; Faculty of Arts; Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle and Fitness; Faculty of Culture and Tourism; Faculty of Digital Competences. People are studying according to various programs provided by all 5 faculties. They gain knowledge and skills beneficial to maintain active and high-quality life in a modern society.
