Social İnclusion and Education Association (BUHAYAD) in Antalya
Social İçerme ve Eğitim Derneği- Social İnclusion and Education Association (BUHAYAD) was established to improve the common wealth of the society within its possibilities by meeting the housing, food, health and safety needs of all our citizens in the aging process in Turkey and to help them create social relationships with the help of social activities. The main objectives of the Association are to provide a decent standard of living, financial or other support to vulnerable groups of elderly people; to help them to strengthen the relations between the elderly and their family, their local community; and to achieve their social inclusion.
Association supports the old who worked before and aged to live happy and healthy. Association also works in cooperation with private or public institutions and organizations to help them to live in an environment where they are safe, in peace and prosperity. Besides, Association provides rental assistance for the people who have low-income. Most of its members are volunteers who are willing to support the elderly people and to provide them social activities.
We are implementing an Erasmus+ project of two years, of which main aim is the social inclusion of elderly people by means of importing them digital skills, "Breaking Digital Barriers; Digital Literacy For Elderly (Ageing Together)", starting from 1st of October 2018 with 3 partners from European Countries, CIDET from Spain, Cpia CT1 from Italy and Belgium and a governmental partner, Public Education Center from Turkey.
The DemCare project aims to develop new care approaches for the families of Alzheimer’s patients. Objectives of the project; Developing new care methods and procedures for Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers, thus providing them with a better standard of living and quality of life. The dissemination of new approaches and practices developed in the European Union in our country is another objective of the project.
DEMENTIA RIGHT project aims to empower people with dementia, those who support them and the community as a whole, to ensure their Rights are recognized and respected, by developing a new rights-based approach to dementia and innovative learning materials ICT-based.
