PLAY International
Founded in 1999 under the name Sport Sans Frontières, PLAY International (PLAY) is a pioneering French nongovernmental organization (NGO) in the field of sport development and education through sport. PLAY has been part of Groupe SOS, Europe's leading social economy group, since 2009. All PLAY's activities are based on the use of sport and sports games as a pedagogical tool to promote education, inclusion and well-being. The NGO has several country offices in Kosovo, Senegal, Burundi, Comoros and France. Each office operates directly in its own region, enabling international deployment. PLAY follows a proven and replicable intervention model: the NGO identifies needs; co-creates and tests pedagogical content that can meet them; then trains professionals and deploys its content on a large scale. Since its creation, PLAY's actions have benefited over 1 million children, and more than 15,000 professionals have been trained.
All its actions are in line with the UN's sustainable development goals.
