The NON-PROFIT MUNICIPAL ORGANISATION FOR WELFARE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OF RHODES is a non-profit organization established on 2002 with the main aim to design and manage social care and community development projects on the Island of Rhodes-Greece. Since 2002 the organization has developed and managed a broad range of projects and programs and therefore has gained a significant experience in this field.
Currently the organization manages seven social welfare projects funded partly by the European Union and partly by the Greek Government and the Municipality of Rhodes. The projects include: two (2) nursery schools, two (2) Creative Activity & Education Centers for youngsters with disabilities, one (1) Day-Care Centre for the elderly, two (2) Home - assistance projects for old or disabled persons. The organization occupies about 40 employees of different qualifications including, healthcare workers, educators, trainers, social workers, drivers etc. The organization is aiming to further develop its activities in the field of education by organizing and participating in educational projects including non-formal education.
