Mersin Mezitli Public Education Center was built in 2007 within the scope of the European Union Support for Basic Education project. Our institution does not have an open education office, zero waste library, 3 computer laboratories, 1 clothing, 1 sewing workshop, 1 hairdresser, 1 skin care, 1 multi-purpose conference hall and 5 classrooms. Our institution building is located in the district center and has the advantage of being only 2 km away from the ancient city of Soli Pompeipolis (City of Pompeius), whose history dates back to the 6th century BC. Our Public Education building also draws attention with its proximity to the sea and holiday resorts. Our vision is to develop the social, knowledge and life skills of our district citizens, to ensure that they spend their free time efficiently, to have a profession and to include them in production and economy by providing additional professional skills. Since the day we were established, we have been serving students of all ages with a variety of course modules. In this direction, we experienced the happiness of giving certificates to fifty students at the end of our plumbing master course and training a female plumbing master for the first time. In our center, there are vocational courses such as medical aromatic plant cultivation, beekeeping, forage plant cultivation, ice cream production element, exhaust emission measurement, cooking, accounting, computer operation, as well as hobby courses such as musk soap production, leather processing, wood painting, painting, music, sports, folk dances, etc.
