Lapseki Halk Eğitimi Merkezi
Our institution is a public adult education centre affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of National Education and provides lifelong learning opportunities for individuals of all ages, with a strong focus on adult learners. We offer free vocational, social, cultural and digital skills courses to support personal development, social inclusion and employability at local level.
Our main target group consists of adult learners, particularly women, including housewives, unemployed adults, low-skilled individuals, migrants and people with limited access to education. Many of our women learners are involved in traditional handicrafts, textile production, food services and small-scale local production. One of our core goals is to support these women in transforming their skills and products into sustainable income opportunities.
In recent years, our institution has increasingly focused on digital skills, digital entrepreneurship and online sales, responding to the growing need for digital inclusion and economic participation. We aim to empower adult learners, especially women, to use digital tools safely and effectively, promote their products online and access wider markets. At the same time, we place strong emphasis on digital security, data protection and responsible use of online platforms.
Our trainers are experienced adult educators who work closely with learners in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Through international cooperation and Erasmus+ mobility activities, we seek to strengthen our institutional capacity, improve the professional competences of our staff and integrate European good practices into our regular training programmes. We are particularly interested in cooperation related to digital entrepreneurship, adult education, job shadowing and exchange of good practices.
