Eastern Anatolia Development Agency
Development Agencies in Turkey have began to be established since 2006 in accordance with the national development plans with purposes to accelerate regional development, ensure sustainability, reduce inter-regional and intra-regional disparities in 26 regions of Turkey. As one of these agencies, Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (EADA) was founded as public body in 2009 and serves in TRB2 Region (that is consist of Bitlis, Muş, Hakkari and Van provinces ) that of socio-economically most disadvantaged region of Turkey. EADA works with Board of Directors-the decision-making body, The Board of Development,-the advisory bodyegional development and General Secretariat-the exacutive body.There are 6 units in EADA. These units; Planning, Programming and Coordination Unit, Program Management Unit, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, Administrative and Financial Affairs Unit, External Relations and Funds Unit, Investment Support Offices. Units are managed by unit heads, coordinators of investment support offices. Now EADA employs 1 general secretary, 1 legal counsel, 33 experts (including 5 unit heads and 4 coordinators) and 6 support staff.
