As a social agent, Fetico's main objective is the promotion of employment and the improvement of the socio-labour conditions of workers. But our aims go further than the defence of the labour issues. We try with our activities to foster social progress values such as solidarity, equality and respect for diversity.
Fetico is deeply involved in the activation of the labour market in Spain, To improve employability we develop two main activities:
Training, most of the target groups of our training plans and programs are groups with difficulties to enter or re-enter to the labour market as women, low-qualified people, long-term unemployed adults and migrants. During 2023 we have trained more than 2.500 people from these priority groups.
Professional support and job guidance service. Fetico is accredited as an Employment Agency by the Spanish Public Employment Service. This means we collaborate with the National Employment Service in the activity of placement of unemployed people. The priority groups attended in this guidance service are also those with more difficulties in finding job opportunities. About 500 people have been attended during 2023 in this guidance service, achieving a placement rate of 20%.
FETICO carries out extensive activity at European level, participating in projects, initiatives, and networks to promote dialogue, exchange of information and mutual learning with other organizations in those areas of interest for our organization. At national level FETICO is member of the Spanish network “Alianza para la Formación Dual” and the "Spanish Charter of Diversity". At European level FETICO is part of the European network "Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition" whose objective is to promote the development of digital competencies in the field of education, employment and society in general and the “European Alliance for Apprenticeship” which unites governments and key stakeholders intending to strengthen the quality, supply and overall image of apprenticeships across Europe.
