CEPEC International (International Pedagogical Study Center for Experimentation and Consultancy) is a Training and Research Center specialized in Education and International Cooperation for more than 30 years. It offers teachers and trainers customized trainings to improve their linguistic and cultural knowledge and help them strengthen their French teaching skills
As a Non-Profit Organization, it offers services in training, technical assistance, study and assessment in France and abroad.The educational experts of CEPEC International all share a common vision of their interventions based on considerable involvement with their partners, teamwork and a deep understanding of the cultural context of the countries involved. These interventions aim not only to provide short-term solutions for identified needs, but also to empower the persons involved as well as their organization.
It operates in a number of countries and welcomes foreign delegations to its Campus nearby the city of Lyon for training seminars (via the ERASMUS + program). Over the years, CEPEC International has organized events and training seminars, which can last from a few weeks to a whole academic year. With two large conference rooms, several classrooms, a documentation center (with more than 10.000 reference works) and an on-site restaurant, the center offers a work-friendly environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS · Improving linguistic and cultural skills - Taking into account the different areas of expertise during workshops
Linguistic workshops - Oral communication: using authentical documents, the focus will be set on oral skills (comprehension and expression) in activities such as debates, role play, simulations, talks and presentations, always working on different levels of language.
- Written communication: using authentical documents, trainees will work on writing (comprehension and expression) through a range of activities such as writing newspaper articles, short stories, letters, etc.
- Grammar exercises: refresher and advanced.
Themed workshops: - French through the media: using the press, television, radio and internet, this workshop help trainees to examine political, social and economic life in France (proposed for beginner to advanced levels).
- French through literature: based around the major genres of French literature (novels, poetry, theatre), the major literary movements as well as the major authors. Creative writing may be proposed (proposed for intermediate to advanced levels).
- Knowledge of France and its history: the key dates in French history, particularly the changes over the 20th century (proposed for basic to advanced levels).
- French through song and cinema: a look into French culture and lifestyle through popular songs and films (proposed for beginner to advanced levels).

TEACHING SKILLS - Finding the right methods and skills to teach, as well as the learning theory recommended in the programs (action-based approach, etc.).
- Organising learning situations matching the skill-based approach.
- Managing learning progress:
- Developing an overview of the objectives of the relevant course.
- Designing problematical situations suited to students' level and potential.
- Designing and planning learning sequences.
- Developing student evaluation and monitoring tools.
- Proposing approaches and methodologies to manage and teach the class, in line with new teaching methods.
