Beschäftigung und Bildung e.V. was founded in 1989 as a non-profit organization in Hamburg. Around 80 employees now provide social services in the areas of professional orientation and qualification, training preparation and support, psychological and socio-educational advice for young people, young adults and families, work with less literate people, qualification and advice for employees of small and medium-sized companies in the sense of a job market-related district development. We advise, qualify and support people in difficult phases of life and develop self-determined, new and real perspectives in a solution-focused manner within the scope of their resources and possibilities. Based on the principle of “helping people to help themselves”, we focus on individual life-world orientation and encourage people by mobilizing and strengthening their own resources within their social and spatial systems. The goal is always social participation to improve the quality of life and to activate for the world of work.
