Asociatia “Liber la Educatie, Cultura si Sport” - LECS (Freedom for Education, Culture, and Sport Association – www.educatie.ong ) is a Romanian NGO with the mission to support all age segments by facilitating access to education, culture and sport through both training programs and projects to help maintain and develop each individual's values. Having the vision that the Education, the Culture and the Sports are values equally accessible to every individual, our organization promote quality non-formal education by initiating and conducting cultural, educational, civic, sporting activities among all segments of the ages with main focus on children and teenagers from rural area.
In the last 6 years our organizaton initiated and developed many projects with relevant actvites in non-formal education, coaching, self-expression, simulaton games, peer to peer, learning by doing and experimental learning in the field of all ages with focus on youngster. These projects were implemented through organizing cultural and sportive educatonal activities in Romania, Japan, USA, India, Colombia, Peru, Italy, Kenya, Belgium, etc. involving children and youth from Romania and other countries.
In the field of general education, we have elaborated reference projects like: Open Books - Reading Club, an hour per week when children get richer ... with a book; a Debate Club for teenagers where we supports students to better express their ideas and improve their public speaking skills; Summer School in country side with the aim to educate, inform and inspire children, parents and teachers from rural area; World Schools Sharing to exchange best practices for an effective education.
The cultural domain contains key projects in the art of calligraphy and cultural diplomacy, promoting peace, stability through intercultural relationship and human rights. The area of education through sport is highly represented in our portfolio, being coordinator for Youth Exchange (Sport for Healthy Youth Life – 2017/2018) and Small Collaborative Partnerships (Play with me … games of the past, sports for today – 2018/2019; Folk-UP! Dancing towards a healthy lifestyle - 2020/2021) projects and also participating as partner in over 15 ERASMUS PLUS programmes Youth Exchange, Small Collaborative Partnerships and Capacity Building.
Since beginning of 2018, our organization is recognised as consultative member of UNESCO program in the field of Life Long Learning Education – CCNGO / ED2030.
