When the novel coronavirus (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, SARS-CoV-2) first emerged in December 2019, the world was not prepared for what came right after. The virus quickly spread to Europe and, in a few weeks, strayed into a planetary scale. The world realized that this deadly virus was unlike others of the kind, which only attacked distant and underdeveloped countries with a poor health system.

This educational white paper is being written in the wake of school closures resulting from the CoVid-19 pandemic. As the necessity for distance learning has become apparent in order to reduce the spread of CoVid-19, the burden of the education of school children has shifted from teachers to parents. In this white paper, the author examines the components of instruction, the degree of shift in each, challenges associated with each, and proffers recommendations for schools and parents to manage these changes. Instructional and social-emotional components of education are discussed.

Today globalism has reached the point that an incident that takes place in a country can rapidly influence other parts of the world (Gilliom, 1981; Hicks, 2003; Kirkwood, 2001; Merryfield & Kasai, 2004). The ongoing coronavirus outbreak is a grand example of this phenomenon. The virus has spread to at least 187 countries and territories in five months after having first been reported in Wuhan, China. As of June 2020, more than 6.2 million people have been infected (World Health Organization [WHO], 2020).

The advent, development, and affordability of digital technologies are having a disruptive impact throughout the education sector that is motivating change in teaching practice (5,12). In the past, the cheapest and most efficient method for transmitting information has been via a traditional lecture, with the expert teaching the student directly and didactically in the classroom. However, the development of new technologies makes it easier for information to be transmitted via internetbased resources.

The necessity of taking the learner to the center within the framework of Roger’s (1951) humanistic psychology is also supported by educationalists (Hase & Kenyon, 2014; King, 1993; Novak & Gowin, 1984). If this educational change is applicable to all grades and disciplines then permanent solutions can be reached.

Nowadays, the ICT is an important part of the 21st century and teacher learning and industry 4.0 challenges must involve technology in their teaching and learning. Previous research on the involvement of technology in the learning process is generally known as TPACK, Technology – Pedagogy – Content - Knowledge. However, the specific objectives of implementing vocational learning are specific to certain occupations. The purpose of this study is to analyse the teaching and learning needs of students in professional vocational education with the revised TPACK new model approach.

Artikkel tugineb uuringul, mille fookuses on mitteformaalõpe kui fenomen, nii nagu see kultuuri- ja majandusvaldkonna parktikute kogemustes välja paistab. Teema aktuaalsus tuleneb asjaolust, et mitteformaalõppe praktikutel on mitteformaalõppe tähendusest mitmene arusaamine ja mõistmine, mis tekitab segadust õppijas ning teeb keeruliseks ühtset õppimise konteksti loomise. Uuringus lähtume sotsiaalse konstruktivismi põhimõttest, kasutame fenomenoloogilist uurimisviisi ning esitame praktikute kogemuste kirjelduse analüüsi.

The Report of the Activities of Good Practice is the first intellectual result of the Erasmus + K2 project called Development of Literacy and Language Learning for Disadvantaged Young Learners, conducted from 1 October 2018 to 30 September 2020. All project partners participated in creating the Report: the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, University of Maribor, Slovenia, University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, and the Ivan Gundulić Primary School from Zagreb.

Käesoleva aasta kevadine täiskasvanute koolitaja kutse andmise taotlusvoor oli teistest erinev, sest esmakordselt viidi hindamine läbi veebikeskkonnas. Taotlusvoorus taotles kutset 102 inimest. Täiskasvanute koolitaja kutse sai 87 taotlejat, neist  63 taotletaval tasemel, 22 juhul tegi hindamisgrupp ettepaneku anda taotlejale tase madalam kutse ja 15 inimest ei tõendanud enda kompetentse ja kutset ei saanud.

Lærere og kursister blev kastet ud i en øjeblikkelig omstilling til fjernundervisning med nedlukningen af uddannelsesinstitutionerne som følge af coronavirus. Notatet giver indblik i, hvordan det er gået med fjernundervisningen på VEU-området, og hvad vi kan lære af erfaringerne – både ift. et større brug af digitale redskaber i den almindelige undervisning og ved mulige nedlukninger i fremtiden.

Undersøgelsen er gennemført i et samarbejde mellem eVidenCenter – Det Nationale Videncenter for e-læring – og Tænketanken DEA.

Armata britanică are o ofertă largă de educație și formare pentru soldați și ofițeri, inclusiv alfabetizare, numerație și abilități digitale. Fiind unul dintre cei mai mari angajatori-furnizori în domeniul uceniciei din Marea Britanie, armata engleză oferă stagii de ucenicie pentru o gamă largă de meserii, inclusiv în construcții, logistică și administrarea afacerilor. Prin intermediul învățământului superior, ofițerii au posibilitatea de a obține o diplomă.

Learning and Work Institute a publicat doua ghiduri pe tema „Better Basic Skills: Better Business”.

Aproximativ 5 milioane de adulți cu abilități de bază scăzute lucrează. Abordarea nevoilor de competențe de bază ale persoanelor care lucrează poate contribui la îmbunătățirea nivelurilor generale de competențe din Anglia. Cu toate acestea, mulți angajatori nu au identificat necesitatea formării competențelor de bază. Este posibil ca angajații să nu recunoască importanța propriilor competențe de alfabetizare și calcul, care stau la baza altor competențe/ abilități legate de muncă.

Learning and Work Institute a publicat o resursă pe tema „Emergency exit: How we get Britain back to work” în care se prezintă inițiativele guvernului și modul cum a acționat cu rapiditate și la o scară fără precedent pentru a proteja întreprinderile, locurile de muncă și veniturile în timpul crizei și a acționat și pentru scăderea la minimum a daunelor economice pe termen lung. Cu toate acestea, pandemia are în mod clar un impact seismic pe piața muncii.
