On Thursday 26 November 2020 EPALE has hosted an online discussion with 30 minutes livestream! To discuss how education in all sectors has been challenged in unprecedented ways with the closure of all types of education institutions, Lauri Tuomi, the CEO of The Finnish Lifelong Learning Foundation (Kvs), and a board member of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA), have examined the question of a blended approach to adult education.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, our institution underwent a digital transformation. Since the very beginning of my work at Panevėžys District Education Centre I have always dreamed of using online tools to train adults living in remote rural areas. We eventually managed to organise such training by implementing the international project “Innovative Learning Methods in Adult Education” under Erasmus + KA1 Programme. During the project, we organised blended English language training for adults using a free and open-source learning management system called Moodle.

Wszyscy są utalentowani, zmotywowani i pełni zapału do swojej pracy. Ich zadaniem było stworzenie - jako grupa - filmu promującego miasto, w którym przebywali podczas stażu.

In summary, research from CCL shows that, fundamentally, people want the same things, no matter what generation they represent. The so-called generation gap in the workplace is, in large part, the result of miscommunication and misunderstanding, fueled by common insecurities and the desire for clout. Successfully leading across generations is actually pretty straightforward.

So let go of your assumptions about generational differences at work, and spend more time developing your leaders of all ages.

Therefore, our upcoming OER collection and MOOC made in collaboration with the European Basic Skills Network will aim to provide an introduction to adult numeracy training. The MOOC will start on 30 November and finish on 18 December and it will give the opportunity for participants to go deeper into the materials of the respective OER collection.

Budući da je u središtu kampanje Tjedan cjeloživotnog učenja pojedinac, odnosno osoba koju želimo motivirati da obrazovanjem promijeni svoj život i unaprijedi svoje životne okolnosti, najvažniji partneri na tom putu ipak su andragoški stručnjaci, profesionalci u području obrazovanja odraslih koji svojim stručnim radom omogućuju da cjeloživotno učenje i obrazovanje postanu stvarnost. Stoga je Agencija za strukovno obrazovanje i obrazovanje odraslih u sklopu Tjedna cjeloživotnog učenja 2017.

Glavni cilj nagrade je isticanjem i promoviranjem životnih primjera odraslih polaznika različitih programa i oblika učenja potaknuti i motivirati sve građane/ke u Republici Hrvatskoj da se uključe u neki oblik učenja i obrazovanja. Nagrada se sastoji od male skulpture, povelje i vaučera za besplatno pohađanje programa obrazovanja po izboru dobitnika.

You can only really learn and understand a new language by practising it. Language coaches see what kind of support newcomers need in their daily life, for example, help with job applications, doctor's visits or their volunteer work at a sports club. We like working in small groups or individually in settings such as library Language Cafés or community centres. Libraries and community centres were forced to close when the Dutch government introduced lockdown measures in response to COVID-19.

The ‘TOY Handbook for tutors and course developers’ provides background information and guidelines for tutors, educators and course developers who wish to provide professional development for adults in intergenerational learning (IGL). The course described in the Handbook is based on the TOY approach to IGL which primarily focuses on young children and older adults.
