Dear EPALE Community,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Complete Sustainability Toolkit from our Erasmus+ KA2 project, Social Opportunities of Sustainability (SOS)! After months of dedicated work and engaging events across Europe, we are excited to share three comprehensive Resource Kits focused on critical sustainability themes: Sustainable Eating, Sustainable Mobility, and Sustainable Tourism!

Our Erasmus+ SOS project explores vital sustainability challenges and opportunities, aiming to empower adult educators and learners to become agents of positive change. These Resource Kits, developed through collaborative workshops and research, provide practical tools, insights, and ready-to-use materials for integrating sustainability into adult learning programs across diverse fields.

Now, we are delighted to offer you all three Resource Kits, available in [English, and partially in Italian, Spanish, Swedish - please check individual kit language availability and download below in this EPALE Resources Section below]!

1. Sustainable Eating Resource Kit (Developed from Naples Workshop, June 2024)

This kit provides resources to educate about reducing food footprint and promoting sustainable food systems. It includes:

  • Document 1: "SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES OF SUSTAINABILITY – Tips to Reduce Food Impact and Eat More Sustainably": Offers 10 actionable tips for sustainable eating. (Downloadable Document)
  • Document 2: "Workshop on Sustainable Eating - Presentation Slides": Comprehensive slides covering the capitalism paradox, agriculture's impact, human impact of unsustainable food systems, solutions, and food impact calculation tools. (Downloadable Presentation)

2. Sustainable Mobility & Transport Resource Kit (Developed from Ireland Event at Frontline, September 2024)

This kit focuses on transitioning to environmentally friendly and socially inclusive mobility solutions. It includes:

  • Document 1: "Sustainable Mobility Event @ Frontline, September 2024 - Presentation by Smart Dublin": Presentation by Smart Dublin on city-level sustainable mobility initiatives. (Downloadable Presentation)
  • Document 2: "Stepping into Doughnut Workshop": Presentation applying the Doughnut Economics framework to sustainable mobility. (Downloadable Presentation)
  • Document 3: "Example Good Practice: MAKE CHANGE - FRONTLINE: A Sustainable Social Enterprise Example": Presentation showcasing Frontline Bikes as an inspiring social enterprise model for sustainable mobility. (Downloadable Presentation)

3. Sustainable Tourism Resource Kit (Developed with Canary Islands Case Study, 2024-2025)

This kit explores the complexities of tourism and offers tools for promoting responsible and regenerative tourism practices, using the Canary Islands as a case study. It includes:

  • Resource Document 1: "Sustainable Tourism": A comprehensive document providing background, case studies, and activities on sustainable tourism principles and challenges in the Canary Islands. (Downloadable Document)
  • Resource 2: "SUSTAINABLE TOURISM - Presentation Slides": Presentation slides providing a visual overview of sustainable tourism challenges and solutions in the Canary Islands. (Downloadable Presentation)
  • Resource 3: "Creative Partnership - SUSTAINABLE TOURISM CANARY ISLANDS - Presentation Slides": Presentation focusing on social opportunities and inclusive employment in sustainable tourism in the Canary Islands, highlighting innovative approaches and ICT skills. (Downloadable Presentation)
