CIRC project - first mobility
The CIRC project
The municipality of Ploeuc-L'Hermitage, in partnership with the municipalities of Pregrada and Sigüenza created the CIRC project (Connecting Inhabitants to Rural Culture), co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme. The project aims to raise awareness of the rural heritage present in each town and to encourage intercultural dialogue to foster a shared European identity through the preservation of rural culture. The project started in october 2024 and is meant to continue until september 2026 with an allocated budget of 60 000 euros.
The first mobility
The first mobility of the project took place in Pregrada, Croatia, and was hosted by the Pregrada Municipal Museum. The Spanish and French delegation joined, in order to discover local initiatives from their Croatian partner on rural culture and heritage. Participants took plart in presentations, discussions and several visits focused on the preservation of rural heritage. They also exchanged their best practices and prepared for the next steps of the project. Participants planned that the next mobility event will take place in Ploeuc-L'Hermitage in mid-september 2025 during the Potato Festival.
