The 2nd Transational Project Meeting within the Adult Education Sector project ''YOUropean: What is Europe to you?'' has concluded.
The project, coordinated by IDEA Alzira (Spain), involves the exchange of good practices from the field of Adult Education and the transmission of the values and importance of the European Union.
It was three intense days of getting to know each other and sharing good practices between the Spanish coordinator IDEA Alzira and partners from Turkey ,Poland and Italy .
On this first day, Polaris staff accompanied partner delegations from Turkey, Poland and Spain to learn about all that the local reality of Vasto offers in the field of EdA.
The partners were welcomed inside the City Hall of the City of Vasto and taken to visit the Civic Museums and the D'Avalos Gardens.
In the afternoon, after a briefing on what the reality of Polaris offers in the field of EdA, we visited the CPI of Vasto to learn about and explore the national initiative of the GOL Program and the possibility of re-skilling for the purpose of job placement, thanks to the European funds of the PNRR. Afterwards, we had the pleasure of being warmly welcomed by the Vasto University of the Three Ages and to learn directly about the reality of the courses for adults that the University's volunteers offer to the citizenry on a daily basis.
The second day we had the opportunity to learn about the history of the birth of the Punta Aderci Nature Reserve, thanks to the valuable contribution of the founder of the Reserve and ARCI Vasto President Lino Salvatorelli, who accompanied us to discover the beauty of Punta Aderci.
It was possible to share with the partners how the ESF and FSER European funds contribute to the social and territorial development of Abruzzo Region, through countless funding actions, thanks to the meeting with consultant Gianlorenzo Molino.
We were guests of Cpia Pescara-Chieti in the Vasto office and held an in-depth focus on the Adult Education system represented by the Provincial Center of the city, within the Rossetti Comprehensive Institute.
Finally, we went on a discovery of the beauty of the historic center of Vasto, the Trabocchi Coast and the culinary delicacies of the territory.
All participants took an active part in the conduct of the meeting and showed extreme interest in the contents of the project.
We are already setting up the next and third Meeting that will take place in Poland in 2024.
Great meeting!
