Work4Future: doing smart remote working as fully motivated staff member
BACKGROUND
Before the health crisis of 2020, teleworking was seen as an advantage rather than a norm: it was either not allowed or only very rarely allowed in almost all EU countries.
During the Covid 19 crisis, many employers and employees found themselves at home with instructions to work, taking no account of the digital skills of each individual.
According to Eurostat, even today, almost half the population does not have the minimum digital skills needed to participate in the global digital transformation of society.
The Work4Future project is based on this observation and on the lack of mastery of soft skills (so-called behavioural, human and social skills), which are essential for teleworking, to propose useful tools tailored to the needs of SMEs.
PROJECT
The Work4Future project aims to promote open and innovative training practices in the digital age through the development of learning materials and digital tools.
All the activities that were planned, carried out and successfully completed enable digital transformation to be tackled through digital readiness, resilience and capacity development.
The project is aimed at :
- trainers/professionals in the training field,
- employees working and interacting in a common digital learning environment.
MAIN RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
https://work4future.eu/results/
The Work4Future partnership worked to develop the following deliverables:
à Training framework
The Work4Future training framework presents the main parameters and methodology used. It draws on the research and surveys carried out by the partnership to establish the architecture of the learning areas, the minimum requirements and the collaborative tools. The Work4Future training framework serves as a roadmap for the development of Work4Future training content.
à Team management guide
The Team Management Guide includes six training modules to help you create productive, collaborative teams in the context of remote working.
The training content covers the following aspects:
- psychology and positive thinking,
- communication in a virtual environment,
- professional etiquette in the age of flexible working,
- work-life balance,
- better colleagues and a stronger team spirit,
- practical exercises and games.
à Guide for coaches
The Guide for coaches provides methodological information for delivering Work4Future training, interacting with learners and helping them to use the platform's tools optimally and completely independently.
Learners may be employees, human resources experts or managers of micro and SMEs.
The Guide for Coaches has been developed on the basis of the methodology created in the Training Framework and the structure of the tools in the Team Management Guide.
à Online platform
The Work4Future project proposes open and innovative training practices for the digital age, based on learning materials and tools to support continuing education.
The Work4Future platform hosts all the teaching content, resources and tools developed as part of the project, offering online distance learning using a Webquest structured research activity.
