VIRTUAL EHRAM EXHIBITION

Ehram is a local weaving that belongs to Erzurum. The wool obtained by shearing the sheep raised in the Erzurum region in June is washed by being slapped by the stream. Washed wool is dried by natural methods and combed by hand with the help of iron combs. Combed wool is made of sümek (BALL)and twisted into a thread by TEŞİ. Our thread colours are made with their own colours without any chemicals and additives. The threads are KELEP with NAZİK. The clamped threads are matted with gauze flour, then the extension process is made. After this process, the threads are first passed to the  GÜCÜ  and then to the comb. The ropes tied to the SERMİN      are tied to the collectible TAHSİL DEĞENEGİ  and stretched and touched by hand on the Ehram bench. Pattern motif is completely custom made optionally.   Ehram is an extremely demanding job that relies on manual labour at all stages. and processes are a completely organic fabric that requires knowledge skill.
